Sir Clove (Sir Goździk)
A special variety of the Łomnicki Cheese – with cumin and cloves.
Bearing a noble title is an obligation, thus, as befits a gentleman, Sir Clove has a refined and elegant taste, accompanied by a rich smell. His ancestors are said to be coming from the Kingdom of Holland, but his real home are the Karkonosze.
It is a very interesting kind of cheese. The combination of two seemingly conflicting flavours of black cumin and cloves makes a unforgettable impression: sweetness, saltiness and piquancy – all smoothly merge on a palate to result in a spicy, gingerbread finish. It is surprising!
If you serve it with liquors, try black currant ‘nalewka’ (Polish traditional fruit-based alcohol) or sherry.
